Manchester-based Nimans, part of the Midwich Group, has appointed Richard Bovingdon as business development director of the specialist AV, UC, and security distributor.
Richard brings more than 22 years’ experience in AV and IT covering distributor, manufacturer, and reseller positions within the corporate, education, rental, and commercial markets. Most recently, Richard has worked for Midwich Ltd as business development general manager.
As business development director, he will work with the team to develop Nimans’s sales strategy focusing on the customer experience to drive business growth, while building on the distributor’s reputation and expertise in the market.
Speaking about his new role, Richard Bovingdon, said: “I am delighted to be joining the Nimans team as business development director. For more than 35 years, the team has worked hard to become a leader in the communication and networking markets, and I look forward to helping build on that with an experienced and professional team.

Richard will be working alongside Tom Maxwell, director of channel sales, and John Bird, director of category sales.

This follows the recent announcement of Paul Burns, former purchasing director, taking over as director in February 2023.
