Access4 AIX Voice Assistant Launch: Press Release

AIX Voice Assistant gives IT resellers a voice channel worth answering

AIX Voice Assistant lets IT resellers sell a billable AI answering service through SASBOSS, without building new infrastructure or AI expertise in house.

Access4 has launched AIX Voice Assistant, an AI powered call answering product available now through SASBOSS, its vendor-agnostic platform for partners. The launch is aimed at resellers across the IT channel, not just voice and UC specialists, giving them a new product to add to their portfolio without building any infrastructure of their own.

Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) and Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS) have become a bigger part of the conversation for IT resellers as customers look for more than basic connectivity from their suppliers. AI-driven productivity is now a top three priority for UK business buyers of all sizes, and basic UC is no longer considered sufficient on its own, according to Cavell’s 2026 UK market research. AIX Voice Assistant sits squarely in that shift, giving resellers a practical, sellable answer to a problem every business customer has: missed calls and stretched front-line teams.

The product answers calls when a customer’s own team can’t, day or night, holding a natural conversation rather than routing callers through a phone menu. It handles routine questions such as opening hours or stock availability on the spot, and passes anything more complex straight to a person, with a full transcript and sentiment rating attached so nothing gets lost.

Jonathan Walker, Access4’s CEO for UK & Ireland, commented: “AIX Voice Assistant is exactly the kind of product our partners have been asking us for. It gives them a genuine new revenue line, without adding a single extra system to manage. That is the real power of SASBOSS at work, provisioning an AIX Voice Assistant agent at group level and deploying it across multiple sites at the same time, rather than setting each one up individually. But the bigger win is for their customers. Every missed call is a missed opportunity, and this closes that gap in a way that actually sounds like a real conversation, not a robot reading a script. That’s the difference between a nice to have and something customers will actively thank their provider for.”

For resellers new to voice and UC, the barrier to entry is low. AIX Voice Assistant is provisioned through SASBOSS using the same quoting, billing and management workflow as the rest of the platform, so there is no separate system to learn and no need for specialist AI expertise to get a first customer live. That matters for resellers weighing up whether to enter cloud voice at all, since the usual concern is the operational complexity of getting started, not the size of the opportunity.

The service runs on infrastructure Access4 owns in the UK, including London and Manchester, rather than being routed through third party systems overseas, keeping response times to under a second and avoiding the delay and stilted tone typical of many AI answering tools. It includes customisable voice answering, smart routing across 0800, 0333 and geographic UK numbers as well as international callers, and fallback redundancy, with data protection and guardrails built into the infrastructure itself.

As a standalone, billable product, AIX Voice Assistant also gives resellers a straightforward way to add recurring revenue and deepen customer relationships, since once a customer’s calls run through it, moving provider becomes a much bigger decision.

AIX Voice Assistant is live now. Resellers can book a demo to see how quickly a first customer can be set up.
