At the recent partner conference at Peckforton Castle, Paul White, Director of NTA, announced a significant transition, “We sold the business!” This surprising news initially shocked the audience of partners, but as Paul elaborated, the mood quickly shifted to optimism.
Paul revealed that he and Charlotte French, an EMI (Enterprise Management Incentive) shareholder, have agreed to sell a significant stake in the business to the Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). This bold move will allow current and future employees to become part owners of the company, enabling them to receive annual bonuses and a share in any future business sale.
“This is a great opportunity for all involved, especially for our dedicated team, many of whom are long-serving team members,” Paul stated. “I have sold a significant stake in the business, and my partner, Charlotte French, has exercised her right to sell the EMI shares, which will allow us both to benefit from tax opportunities when selling shares to the EOT. I will remain actively involved in the business operations and continue to drive the business forward.”
Paul further expressed, “I believe this scheme works very well for businesses in the communications industry, as it means all involved gain ownership status. This fosters a more engaged, stable, and adaptable workforce, which is particularly beneficial in the fast-evolving telecoms sector. It serves as remuneration for our team, recognising all their hard work in making NTA what it is today.”
As NTA embarks on this exciting journey, partners can rest assured they are in capable hands. They will continue their mission with the same dedication and passion, now with the added advantage of a united team of shareholders.
