Blabbermouth Delivers Strategic Rebrand as It Retires Iconic Lips

Agency formalises executive advisory and portal-led delivery model as brand evolves

Independent marketing agency Blabbermouth has unveiled a strategic rebrand that formalises its executive advisory and portal-led delivery model, while retiring its well-known lips logo after more than a decade at the centre of its identity. The lips were

“The lips were instantly recognisable, reflecting the energy of a young founder building something from scratch.” says Founder Elizabeth Sparrow. “Fun, brave and unapologetically bold, they represented stepping into my own business skin and having the confidence to be visible.”

Over time, they became closely associated with the agency’s personality. But as the business evolved, so too did the scale complexity of the work delivered behind the scenes.

Founded at a time when LinkedIn was still emerging and many businesses had yet to adopt email platforms, Blabbermouth originally delivered campaign-led activity across direct mail, radio and traditional advertising. As marketing became more digital, more connected and more accountable, the agency’s role shifted accordingly.

Today, Blabbermouth operates at executive level for a number of clients, working directly with leadership teams to define positioning, identify customer audiences and build market strategies aligned to commercial growth.

The retirement of the lips reflects that progression. “They served us incredibly well,” Sparrow explains. “But the business we are today is more strategic, and embedded in executive decision-making. We needed a brand that reflects the expertise and maturity of the team behind the work.”

In the rebrand, the agency has clarified its service architecture. Blabbermouth continues to deliver project-based and retained outsourced marketing engagements, while its sister brand, Bfusion, provides scalable agency resource through a structured portal model.

Bfusion brings agency capability to businesses on their terms, providing access to design, digital and marketing assets without hiring permanent teams, allowing organisations to retain autonomy while drawing on specialist expertise. Together, the brands create a full-stack outsourced marketing solution, from strategic direction to day-to-day delivery.

The refinement comes at a time when many businesses are reassessing internal cost structures. With in-house marketing teams representing significant fixed overhead, organisations are increasingly turning to specialist partners who can provide both strategic clarity and operational capability.

“Marketing is now a key influence in commercial performance,” says Sparrow. “Boards want accountability, insight and measurable returns. Strategic outsourcing enables access to senior expertise and specialist delivery without the long-term burden of building an entire department.”

The agency has also reaffirmed its commitment to technological development. While the rapid arrival of AI has prompted uncertainty across parts of the marketing industry, Blabbermouth views technological change as a constant rather than a disruption.

“We’ve adapted through every major shift in digital marketing,” Sparrow says. “AI is no different. It should form part of business strategy, not replace it.”

That thinking is reflected in the agency’s newly launched website. Originally conceived as a visually-led, content-light experience built around striking photography, the site has instead been developed as a content-rich resource. With AI-driven search increasingly shaping how businesses discover and evaluate expertise, depth of insight and clarity of proposition have become just as important as aesthetics.

The rebrand also coincides with investment in a new office space, marking what the agency describes as a signal of long-term intent as it enters its next phase.

After 15 years of building and evolving a marketing agency, the lips may have gone, but the ambition behind them has simply matured.
