Brother Industries has joined the likes of Apple, Microsoft and Johnson & Johnson on the FTSE4Good Index of environmentally and socially sustainable businesses.
The listing reflects the company’s success in working towards the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, from tackling climate change and resource depletion to reducing environmental pollution and destruction of the ecosystem.
UK subsidiary Brother UK has twice won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of its achievements in sustainable development. Last year, it received independent certification for zero waste to landfill with Valpak, for the 10th consecutive year.
