BDR Group’s board of directors are pleased to announce that from the 1st of April 2024, Bahman Rahimi will be vacating the office of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will assume the role of the group’s Chairman.
Current Managing Director, Malek Rahimi will be taking over the role and responsibilities of CEO going forward.
Malek’s journey to CEO started over 14 years ago. Malek has been with the company since 2010, first taking the role of a Technical Support Engineer, then working as a Customer Service Agent in 2012, and then as a Cable Technician in 2014. He began working with BDR’s sales department in 2016, as a Sales Consultant; he did this for 2 years, before being promoted to Head of Account Management in 2017.
His first role in the directorate began in 2019, as the Group Operations Director. Because of his performance in managing the operations of the business during the COVID-19 pandemic, Malek was promoted to Managing Director in 2021. In his time as Managing Director, he has successfully delivered multiple mergers & acquisitions (M&As) alongside Bahman.
Bahman Rahimi, Chairman, said “For a very long time I have been serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the BDR Group, however in the last year or two I have been progressively moving into and performing the role of Chairman, whilst in the main the CEO duties have generally been undertaken and performed by Malek Rahimi.”
“This change of roles is a natural transition and has been in the planning for a while.”, stated Mr Bahman Rahimi.
Malek Rahimi, CEO, said, “I consider the board’s decision to appoint me to the role of CEO as a great measure of their confidence, and I am excited to continue delivering on growth and tech for our clients and group.”
Founded in 1991, BDR Group is a privately owned managed service provider to private and public sector clients across multiple verticals. The group is headquartered in Stratford-upon-Avon and operates out of four business hubs with 200 staff.
