Par for the Cause: Inaugural DeafKidz Charity Golf Day Raises over £2,000

The first DeafKidz International Charity Golf Day was held on 6th June 2024.

The event, sponsored by GetCrisp, was hosted at the Dyke Golf Club in Brighton and featured a strong lineup of channel golfers, including representatives from Pragma, GetCrisp, F One and Technology Reseller Magazine.

After some strong performances from the golfers, the day closed with a fundraising raffle. Great prizes were kindly donated by generous local businesses including Focus Group, Picturehouse Brighton, Littlebird Tea Rooms, GetCrisp, Dyke Golf Club and Brighton Gin and Abyss Brewery.

In total, the event raised £2,168 for DeafKidz International, a leading deaf charity based in Sussex. Richard Knight, Founder at GetCrisp, said “the first DeafkKidz Charity Golf Day was a huge success. It was a great day, and we were delighted to spend the afternoon with many of our partners and clients, all raising money for a worthy cause. Thanks to everyone who joined us and supported DeafKidz through their donations. We’re already looking forward to next years’ event.”

Supporting an amazing cause

DeafKidz International works alongside charitable organisations around the world to safeguard and improve the lives of deaf children.

Recent DeafKidz initiatives include the DeafKidz Defenders Programme. This campaign provided an interactive and accessible digital platform designed to educate young deaf children in Zambia and South Africa on how to stay safe online. Initiatives like DeafKidz Defenders are vital, with deaf children three times more likely to be abused than hearing children.
