Record attendance for Xelion partner day

Communications vendor Xelion celebrated another year of growth by putting on a partner day with a twist.
In a break from the typical conference room setting, Xelion’s partner day was held at the Imperial War Museum (IWM) in Duxford, Cambridgeshire.
The event saw record attendance for a Xelion partner day, with partners from across the UK as well as a contingent from Xelion’s Dutch offices including group CEO Thijs van den Ende.
The Xelion team shared some important announcements, including:
  • increased investment in R&D, with expansions to the development team including dedicated UX/UI and macOS developers
  • a sneak preview of the development roadmap for the upcoming version 8.5, which includes enhancements to make provisioning even faster for partners
  • further enhancements to contact centre functionality
  • the launch of a training academy to bolster and formalise technical training for partners
However, while there was time for business, the day was dominated by the unique venue. IWM Duxford is England’s largest aviation museum, and home to nearly 200 military aircraft.
Attendees were treated to expert talks and tours by museum staff, as well a ‘treasure hunt’ where guests broke into teams to identify aircraft, with the winners taking £7,000 worth of Xelion licences.
UK MD Dave Reynolds is a lifelong aviation enthusiast, and selected the venue to give attendees
He said:
“It was great to connect with partners and give them a different experience to the events they’re used to. The museum in Duxford is close to my heart, so it was a pleasure to share that with partners.
I’d like to thank all attendees for helping make the event such a success, including partners and our colleagues from the Netherlands who made the trip. Thanks also to the Imperial War Museum for being such great hosts.”
CEO Thijs van den Ende, who also attended, said:
“I had a great time seeing colleagues and meeting so many UK partners. The UK channel is hugely important to us, and it was wonderful to see so many people take the time to attend.
One of my highlights was the choice of venue. It was a fascinating place and a real change from the usual event space. I’d like to congratulate our UK colleagues for choosing such a great setting to celebrate another year of growth.”
