The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) has announced Birmingham-headquartered IT solutions provider SCC as its new Principal Sponsor. The three-year agreement includes funding of £100,000 a year and alignment with the orchestra’s Sound of the Future campaign to raise £12.5 million by 2025.
SCC was founded by Sir Peter Rigby in 1975 and in the last 48 years has employed over 50,000 local people and invested millions of pounds into charitable causes and regeneration schemes.
Stephen Maddock OBE, Chief Executive of the CBSO, said: “This is an imaginative partnership between two outstanding and long-established Birmingham organisations. Both SCC and the CBSO are committed to
promoting our home city, and I am hugely grateful to Sir Peter Rigby for his generosity and vision in making this new partnership a reality.”
