The first of our four golf societies this year took place at the Cheshire Course, Carden Park Golf Resort on the 9th May.
The main topic of discussion the night before over a few beers and a curry was the weather. It held and remained sunny! The 47 players that joined us could not have asked for better conditions.
The course was in fantastic condition, the sun shone all day and the staff looked after us well.
The winners on the day were, Longest Drive went to Jake Rigby of IP Netix, Nearest the Pin went to Mike Anderson of Brother and Nearest the Pin in Two on a Par 4 went to Chris Hodges of Sol Distribution.
This year we have added a little extra fun with a new prize, Nearest the Pimms on a Par 3 which went to Dudley Southern of 40fi.
The team prize went to Team 11 which was IP Netix and the overall winner on the day was a very close event with two players coming in with 40 points. However, on the back 9 count, the winner was Ryan Batchelor of Knight Corporate Finance. Congratulations to all the winners.
If you would like to join us and network with around 48 people from different industries, we are playing Olton Golf Club on the 27th June, Hearsall Golf Club on the 25th July and our final outing will take place at the Redditch Golf Club on the 3rd Oct.
