UK IT services firm resolves 4–5x more incidents daily after adopting HP workforce analytics platform

IT services provider, DTP Group, has significantly improved service efficiency after adopting HP’s Workforce Experience Platform (WXP), with engineers now resolving four to five times more incidents per day.
Since implementing the platform, the company has also seen a 20–40 per cent reduction in help desk tickets, as improved device visibility and analytics allow issues to be spotted and fixed ahead of time.
The adoption forms part of DTP Group’s wider strategy to shift from traditional IT reselling towards more outcomes-driven managed services, using analytics and automation to improve both internal operations and client outcomes.
DTP Group has worked closely with HP for decades. The partnership began in 1987, and the company became HP’s first UK Managed Print Services partner in 1999, helping pioneer managed print solutions for organisations across the education, corporate and public sectors.
More recently, the collaboration has focused on enabling data-driven IT management through technologies such as HP Workforce Experience Platform.
Howard Hall, Group Managing Director of DTP Group, said:
“We needed to pivot from being a traditional HP reseller to being more outcome-focused. We’re on that journey now as we add value for clients with HP Workforce Experience Platform.

“Having deeper visibility into device performance and employee experience allows us to be far more proactive. We can identify issues earlier, automate remediation and ultimately deliver a better service experience for our clients.”
The platform enables DTP Group to support complex IT environments across multiple device types and platforms, assisting organizations in boosting operational efficiency while reducing disruption for employees.
As organisations continue to prioritise digital workplace performance and productivity, DTP Group believes data-driven IT management will become increasingly important for managed service providers looking to deliver measurable outcomes for clients.
With more than 38 years of industry experience and around $20 million in annual revenue, the company is continuing to expand its managed services capabilities with advanced analytics, automation and integrated ecosystem support across platforms, including ServiceNow, Microsoft and Tableau.
Founded in 1987, DTP Group is a IT services and solutions provider headquartered in Leeds. The DTP portfolio spans edge to cloud technologies – digital workplace, managed print services, AI and hybrid cloud. It is DTP’s ambition to be the UK’s go to partner and dedicated specialist in delivering business outcomes built on HP and HPE technologies. A technology partner to a wide range of organisations across the Public and Commercial sectors, our sustainable solutions seek to modernise and transform.
