Sytronix Joins Global Infrastructure Partnership to Accelerate AI Venture Building in Emerging Markets

UK based high performance computing specialist Sytronix has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with The Utopia Studio, Hosted.ai, and Sia Partners to provide foundational infrastructure for AI startups across emerging markets.

The partnership brings together complementary capabilities across hardware, software and ecosystem development to address one of the largest barriers facing AI startups in the Global South: access to affordable compute.

The Utopia Studio is an AI focused venture studio supported by Qatar Development Bank and operating within the Utopia Capital Management venture platform. The initiative focuses on supporting early-stage founders across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa and other emerging markets.

Under the agreement, Sytronix will design and deploy sovereign high performance computing infrastructure that enables startups to train and scale AI models locally.

Hosted.ai will provide elastic GPU as a service and sovereign cloud capabilities, while Sia Partners will deliver advisory services and agentic AI acceleration to support venture development and commercialisation.

Together the partners aim to provide startups with a full stack technology environment that significantly reduces infrastructure costs and improves access to compute power.

AI startups in emerging markets often spend between 40 and 50 percent of their revenue on compute infrastructure while paying several times more than organisations in developed markets. The partnership aims to change these economics by delivering locally deployed infrastructure that reduces cost while protecting data sovereignty.

Founders participating in The Utopia Studio will gain priority access to sovereign compute infrastructure, high availability GPU services and advanced AI tooling, enabling them to train and deploy systems earlier in their development lifecycle.

James Walsh, Founder and CEO of Sytronix, said:

“This partnership represents a significant step forward for Sytronix and aligns with our vision of being at the forefront of emerging technology. By working with our partners, we can help deliver the infrastructure required for startups to innovate faster while keeping control of their data, talent and intellectual property.”

Over the next five years The Utopia Studio aims to develop more than 140 venture concepts and support over 50 startups from pre seed through to Series A across emerging markets.

The collaboration reflects a growing global shift towards sovereign AI infrastructure, where countries and regions develop their own compute capabilities to support local innovation ecosystems.

Sytronix is a British manufacturer of high-performance computing infrastructure for AI, high performance computing, rendering and advanced digital workflows. With in house design and engineering, the company builds compute platforms that prioritise efficiency, scalability and sustainable performance.
