Tollring Celebrates Carbon Neutral Certification on its Journey to Net Zero

Tollring is proud to announce its certification as a Carbon Neutral Business. Through the Carbon Neutral Britain Climate Fund™, Tollring has offset its total carbon emissions incurred in 2025, by supporting internationally certified carbon reduction projects worldwide. This marks a significant step in Tollring’s long-term sustainability strategy and journey to net zero, demonstrating commitment to minimising its environmental impact.
Carbon Neutral Britain measured and calculated Tollring’s full carbon footprint in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e). For the reporting period from 1 January to 31 December 2025, Tollring recorded a total carbon footprint of 378.71 tCO2e. Primary emissions and areas for improvement were identified as energy consumption across office locations, business travel and staff commuting.
While the company has offset its carbon footprint for the year, it is also trying to reduce its footprint at source wherever possible.
As a SaaS provider of conversation intelligence, call analytics and call recording, 100% hosted in Microsoft Azure, its environmental impact extends beyond direct operations to the broader supply chain, such as the cloud infrastructure that powers its solutions. Tollring is measuring environmental impact across key suppliers and looks to form relationships with those that have a strong sustainability strategy themselves, such as Microsoft who is halfway to achieving its sustainability target of becoming carbon negative by 2030.
The next step for Tollring is to focus on the annual reduction of emissions, through Azure optimisation, decarbonisation of office operations, consolidation of travel, green procurement and further environmental initiatives.
Hilary Oliver, Chief Customer Officer at Tollring, says, “Our first priority was to fully understand our environmental impact across the whole business and to be transparent about the actions we are taking. Sustainability is important to our customers, partners, employees, suppliers and stakeholders, and this certification represents a major step in reducing our environmental footprint.
“By working with Carbon Neutral Britain, we have selected some innovative global projects to help offset the carbon we currently generate. But this is just the first step. As we continue to develop market-leading AI solutions for customers worldwide, we are acutely aware of the effort that is needed to ensure that our solutions have minimal environmental impact. Understanding our footprint is just the beginning of our journey to net zero.”
James Poynter, Director at Carbon Neutral Britain, adds, “We are delighted to partner with Tollring to help identify and offset their environmental impact for 2025 and beyond.”
As part of its carbon offset programme, Tollring is supporting several internationally recognised sustainability initiatives including:
  • Wind power generation in Maharashtra, India – replacing fossil fuel-based energy through the development and operation of renewable wind farms.
  • Circular agriculture initiatives in the Netherlands – supporting Dutch farming cooperatives that capture methane emissions from manure through biogas technology to generate renewable electricity.
  • Solar lighting projects in Zambia – providing clean, reliable lighting to families without access to electricity while reducing dependence on kerosene lamps.
  • The Salkhit Wind Farm in Mongolia – the country’s first grid-connected wind farm, supplying renewable electricity to Mongolia’s central energy grid.
The certification from Carbon Neutral Britain provides independent assurance that Tollring’s carbon neutral status has been assessed in accordance with internationally recognised ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol standards, following principles of relevance, completeness, consistency, transparency and accuracy.
