Elevate Wholesale’s Women in Channel Community has returned with a second annual event; bigger, better and more informative and inspirational than the first.
With support from Sky Business Wholesale and Virgin Media Business Wholesale, this year’s event welcomed channel professionals from across the UK to Manchester to network, share knowledge and inspire the next generation of leaders.

Attendees enjoyed a live podcast recording of the Elevate Wholesale podcast Chewing the Channel (hosted by Elevate Account Manager Teigan Kemp for a Women in Channel spin) and an engaging panel discussion exploring leadership, inclusion and the future of the industry with some of the channel’s biggest female leaders. All rounded off with a networking reception and cocktail-making masterclass.

Eleanor Wollard, Account Manager at ITS Technology Group said of the day “I’m quite early in my career, I have been in this industry for about three years now so today was really useful for me to see women making their way in the industry and being in higher positions than I am as a target to get to.”

The Women in Channel Community is an initiative founded and managed by Elevate® Wholesale. According to the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER), women make up less than one fifth of the nation’s telcoms workforce*. So few women in the industry means there are fewer mentors to inspire and support other women, creating a cycle of under-representation.
