DisplayNote appoints Ian Sinnamon to lead next phase of sales growth

Enterprise software sales leader brings fresh commercial perspective to the AV industry as DisplayNote expands across enterprise and education markets

DisplayNote has appointed Ian Sinnamon as Head of Sales, bringing more than 20 years of commercial leadership experience into the AV and collaboration technology industry as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Ian joins DisplayNote from the enterprise software sector, where he has led sales teams and go-to-market programmes globally. His appointment brings an outside perspective to a market where organisations are increasingly looking to make meeting and learning spaces simpler, more consistent and easier to manage.

Ian will lead DisplayNote’s sales function across its direct and partner channels, supporting the growth of DisplayNote’s experience layer software across enterprise and education markets.

DisplayNote’s focus is on helping organisations move from friction to flow in shared spaces. Its experience layer software sits between people and the hardware in meeting rooms and classrooms, helping organisations create a more consistent experience for users while giving IT teams greater control across their estates.

For Ian, the opportunity is to combine DisplayNote’s existing AV and channel expertise with an approach shaped by selling software into complex organisations, developing strategic accounts and building scalable, predictable sales operations.

His focus will include strengthening relationships with customers and partners, developing the sales team and working closely with marketing, customer success and product as DisplayNote expands its commercial activity.

Ed Morgan, CEO of DisplayNote, said:

“Ian is coming into our industry with a different set of experiences, and we see that as a real strength. AV is increasingly part of a wider conversation around software, user experience, IT management and standardisation, particularly as organisations think about technology across entire estates rather than individual rooms.

“Our ambition at DisplayNote is to help organisations move from friction to flow in their shared spaces. Ian brings considerable experience of how enterprise organisations buy software, how strong commercial teams are built and how direct and partner-led sales can work together. Combining that perspective with the AV expertise already within DisplayNote will be important as we take that proposition to more customers and partners.”

Ian Sinnamon, Head of Sales at DisplayNote, said:

“What interested me about DisplayNote, and the wider AV industry, is how closely many of the challenges resemble those I have seen in other organisations. Everyone in IT wants technology that can be deployed consistently, managed effectively and, ultimately, make things easier for the people using it.

“The idea of moving from friction to flow really captures that opportunity. I’m coming into the industry with plenty to learn, but also with experience that I believe translates well. DisplayNote already has strong technology, established industry knowledge and important partner relationships. My role is to build on those foundations and help create a commercial approach that supports the next stage of the company’s growth.”

The appointment strengthens DisplayNote’s senior commercial leadership as the company continues to develop its direct enterprise and partner-led activity globally.
